BAREFOOT WINE - "LOVE FOR THE AGES"
Barefoot Wine, a longtime supporter of the LGBT community, wanted to create a highly shareable piece of content in celebration of the one-year anniversary of marriage equality. At Huffington Post, I developed and produced a film called "Love for the Ages," which features five same-sex couples in their fifties or older, discussing their love and marriage. The video was inspired by When Harry Met Sally.
Premiering during Pride Month, the film accumulated over 2 million views in less than one week. It later won a Creative Media Award.
After the video launched, Barefoot Wine's social media channels shifted from strictly wine and business to Pride and LGBT content with “Love for The Ages” comprising over 40 percent of all Barefoot Wine conversation. The film was posted on Huffington Post's Queer Voices Facebook page and accumulated over 40K reactions, 16K shares, 1,500 comments, and 34 wedding photos. The response became quantifiable evidence of the power of native advertising.
